Laces have been used since the beginning of the bicycle because they offer riders the opportunity to balance a secure fit with a comfortable fit. Cleat Guidance These Road Shoes are compatible with road bike pedal systems that use cleats with 3-bolt standards, such as: Look Delta and Keo, Shimano SPD-SL, Speedplay Light Action, Zero, X-Series (via 3-hole adapter plate), Campagnolo Pro-Fit, Mavic. Due to the traditional ‘oxford style’ opening of these road shoes, they allow lots of flexibility in finding your fit; open or close them tighter depending on your foot shape. This dhb cycling shoe also has an elastic lace retainer mid-way down the shoe to keep things secure, tidy, and to ensure they don't get caught up in your chainrings. The perforated tongue also helps to increase airflow and shapes over the top of the foot for added comfort when you close the laces.
