Ibanez Altstar ALT20 Acoustic Electric Guitar Open Pore Natural

Description

The reduced body design is not only lighter and more comfortable, but it also keeps boomy feedback at bay. The Ibanez Altstar ALT20's satin-backed maple neck, walnut fingerboard, and 15.7-inch radius will have you going off the rails. And thanks to the iconic Ibanez angular headstock — an electric guitar institution for decades — the ALT20 makes a statement before you ever play a note. With its thin cutaway body and speedy maple neck, the Ibanez Altstar ALT20 is an acoustic that die-hard electric players will love playing. Unplugged, the ALT20 issues a rich, resonant tone; plugged-in, it retains its natural sound due to Ibanez’s advanced onboard electronics. Plus, given its all-sapele body, artfully shaped pick guard, offset dot inlays, and pointy headstock, this unique acoustic axe is a head turner! The soft Florentine cutaway provides effortless access all the way up the neck as well. Moreover, fleet-fingered six-string slingers — ranging from prog rock soloists to bluegrass flatpickers — are sure to appreciate the wickedly flat 15.7-inch fingerboard radius, a favorite feature among technical guitarists. Guitarists here at Sweetwater agree that the Altstar ALT20 is a radical departure from the traditional acoustic-electric — one that's packed with stage presence. The thinned-out dreadnought body is suited for hours of performance, onstage or around the house.
